Marlins-in-Training (formerly known as Mini Marlins) is our pre-competitive or entry level program, offered to children wishing to improve upon their current swimming abilities. The program develops basic movement and orientation to the four strokes, helps refine motor coordination, improves endurance and helps the child to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Children should already have passed ‘Swimmer’ level 4 before attempting to enter this program (or be able to swim one full length of the pool unassisted). All children should wear a one-piece swimsuit and have a pair of swimming goggles and fins. Swimming fins can be purchased from Team Aquatics (Burlington) or Swim & Sport (Mississauga) for approximately $30.
Please note that due to the number of swimmers in the club e-mail is our main method of communication for short notice situations such as pool closures. Please ensure we have your current email address and check your emails prior to coming to the pool for practice. There are times when the pool is closed due to reasons beyond our control, and therefore, we are forced to cancel practice at the last minute.
