Club Night! Tues June 14th

Club Night will take place NEXT TUESDAY June 14th from 5:00-7pm at the Milton Sports Centre.

All Swim Academy, Novice & Junior swimmers are invited to participate! This will be the LAST club night of the 2015-2016 season.

All Academy swimmers that were part of the team at some point during the 2015-2016 season are invited back out!

Ribbons will be handed out to ALL Swim Academy swimmers during Club Night. We hope to see you there!!

The Milton Marlins host a fun club night approximately every month. Club nights are informal, fun nights of swimming races for ALL levels of swimmers in the Marlin family. Come and see the senior swimmers show how it's done, and cheer on the youngest of our team as they race down the 25m of MSC!

ALL new and old swimmers are invited to participate! It’s a great chance to see some of the older swimmers in the club racing as well as a chance for our younger swimmers to show off their new skills for you parents in the stands! All swimmers will get a chance to race during club nights. This is a fun night and there is no additional charge for your child to participate.

May 28th Novice meet - TIME CHANGES

Hello MMST Parents,

The original decision to split the Spring Novice meet in two was reached for two reasons:

1- We have lost revenue from the Dash 4 Cash meets since the 50M pools in the West end opened. Having a strong novice meet would compensate for that loss of revenue.

2- With the usual number we see from the big clubs that usually bring their swimmers to our pool, a single session would be chaotic. Splitting it in two would guarantee a better experience for all.

Although we had expected to need to prod people to volunteer, I hadn't foreseen the current scenario. Due to the lack of volunteers, we are forced to combine the sessions into one.

The adjusted times are as follows:

The 2016 MMST Spring Novice meet scheduled for 2pm will now be merged with the 2016 MMST Rich Davis Spring Novice morning meet.
Warmup times for ALL swimmers start at: 8:00 AM
Start time: 9:30 AM

This will be a FULL 4-hour plus meet. We will give priority for volunteers who need sign-offs and who haven't been able to get them in the last meets we hosted earlier in the season.

We will need extra assistants for the clerk of course to handle the high number of swimmers on deck. The Officials coordinator is working on making changes to the sign-up genius page to reflect the changes. Please sign up for any available spot still open on that is done. The Spring Novice meets are important for the swimmers as this is the last meet of the season for the younger swimmers, but it's also important for the club. Hosted meets are one of the sources of revenue for a non-profit organization like ours.

We hope to count on you all to make the now single meet happen and run smoothly. Let's give the visiting clubs a great experience MMST style.

Thank you,

Flavia Silveira
