Evaluation Night is for those swimmers wishing to join the Milton Marlins and returning Marlins-In-Training.  The evening allows coaches to assess the appropriate level for each swimmer to begin the 2013/14 season, and parents will have access to coaches and parent volunteers to learn more about our team and the incredible sport of swimming.

The Milton Marlins are proud to announce and acknowledge our newest partner, Making Waves Swim School. Both organizations are dedicated to our youth and the sport and life-skill of swimming. And both organizations represent top-notch programs led by qualified professionals.

Making Waves uniquely offers a “hands-on” approach at every level, from  Parent & Tot through Red Cross Swim Kids Level 10.  The Marlins offers team-based instruction in competitive swimming strokes, beginning with our Marlins-In-Training program as early as swimmers who have achieved Swim Kids Level 4; and from there…on to competitive levels all the way through to national-level competitions.

What partnership could be more natural?

We need confirmation of your attendance. This year  the Year End Party and Awards Banquet is being held on Friday June 21^st from 6.00pm – 11.00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion.  35 Charles St in Milton.  (Commercial & Main St.).

Tickets are $5.00 and payable at the door BUT we need to know how many of you are coming so that we can ensure we have enough food!  Please RSVP by emailing us at tribar@sympatico.ca

1^st Annual MMST Golf Tournament & Dinner.  June 22^nd.

Although we know that many are planning on attending we must confirm numbers.  If you are planning to attend the 1^st Annual Milton Marlin Golf Tournament please RSVP with Gail McCarthy at 4macs@cogeco.ca .  Tickets are $100.00 and include Golf, Power Cart and Dinner!  There will also be a silent auction with some great items including Golf Foursomes at some great courses!

Club Champs Volunteer Sign Off’s

We have been informed by Swim Ontario that we cannot grant Official sign-off’s for our Club Championships.  However, we can give ‘Learns’ so that any volunteer can get the official sign-off in November during our first Dash.

Swim Cap Design

Thank you to all the creative Marlins that submitted designs!  Selecting the winning design was a difficult and exciting process as there were many great designs to choose from.  We have selected the winning design and we plan on unveiling the new look cap at the Year End Gala!

JUNIOR – Thursday May 30^th Juniors will be swimming at MSC (not MLC) from 4.00pm – 5.30pm.

SENIOR – Dryland is Cancelled this Friday May 31^st.

Wednesday Dry Land Practices for SR’s & JR’s. – CHANGES!

For the remainder of the season all Wednesday Dryland practices have been moved outdoors.   Swimmers are to meet outside of the pool entrance at MSC.   If weather does not cooperate than dryland will be cancelled.  As always, check your twitter accounts as we will tweet any cancellations.

Club Championships Day 1 Completed!

Tuesday May 7^th saw the start of the club championships.   Day 1 events had many fun races for our MIT and Novice Swimmers and gave our Junior and Senior squads to a chance to race a little Freestyle.

Day 2 and Day 3 (June 4^th and June 11^th) will provide more races for those competing for the coveted trophies.
