ATTENTION ALL PARENTS OF SWIMMERS in NOVICE, PURPLE, BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD:

New to the 2011/12 swim season is that Swim Ontario has created a website to track all parents who are Officials or who are new to the process and are just beginning their journey “Up the Ladder “.

To date, many of our parents have already registered but for those who haven’t, please take some time and go to www.osoa.ca and create your own account by clicking on the big yellow REGISTER NOW tab. Once you have, I will get a request via email to approve it and once that is done, you can access your own account. Swim Ontario has asked that those who have registered and have clinics and sign offs, who haven’t done so already, to please take your officials card and under the CLINICS tab, use the ADD CLINICS link and under the EVALUATIONS tab, add your SIGN OFF’s and dates you have taken. If you can’t recall the evaluator, send me an email with what you think the initials are on your card and I will let you know. Once you have all of this information entered, it will be sent to me and I will verify they are correct and approve them which will then show on your account on your homepage. There, the tab for Officials Report will show all that you have input and should look like your officials card.

It’s a great website to use to bookmark it along with the Marlins website. Swim Ontario will use it to track our team’s progress of parents working their way “Up the Ladder” as officials. If they don’t see that our officials are moving up the ladder, they have the authority to NOT sanction our hosted meets so this is very important.

For the clinics that we as a team host or any others that are available, you now have the option of registering yourself under the CLINICS tab.

This request is time sensitive as our first meets for the team are in the first 2 weekends of November so please take time in the coming weeks to Register and/or update your account. If you have any questions, please email me.
